when can you tell you are having a flare?
For me, I have flushes, increased pain and usually end up with pericarditis. Sometimes swollen nodes and low grade fever
@DensiseHynes yes platelet and extremely low white blood cell count and other irregular labs. In my case the rash in the face and the pain indicates some of these levels are not normal.
@A MyLupusTeam Member welcome!!!! My Dr wants to see labs almost every time I have flares. Too make sure nothing else is getting involved. Then we discuss management (if I need steroids) or stronger pain killers, or increase de Imuran...

Melo11, you say you call your Dr when you are having flare ups. What does he do? I just live through mine feeling miserable. Thank you, this is my day on this site.
I have noticed that I get bout of energy and I am able to get thing's done but i have to take breaks because the lesions are in my head i over heat a lot stress is a #1 trigger have been some major changes in my life. I am grateful for the treatment i don't have nearly as many migraine as i use to so I've got some better quality of life. I just am thankful for each and every new day.
