Benlysta

Benlysta

Dr. Is prescribing Benlysta for my lupus. Has anyone tried it and what can I expect? Plaquenil caused problems with my vision and methotrexate messed with my liver.

I was on Benlysta when it first came out for about 6 months. It didn't work for me. I reacted to it. I would retain water and swell up. Others in the clinic had better luck. I'm off it now and just on plaquenil and prednisone. Hope it works for you.

I was on Benlysta for a while. The first dose was the full recommended amount and I had several side affects. My doctor lowered the amount and added a shot of steroid. That worked and we upped the dose every few visits. It helped me a lot. Now I have medical assistance and have no rheumatologist. I miss having the Benlysta.

I was on Benlysta on two separate occasions and both times I had a bad reaction to it. I had headaches and I also use to faint. It also caused me to have a flare on my face. But I heard it really helped other patients.
