I have 3 beautiful blessings and I've also had 3 miscarriages. While carrying my first baby the SLE was in remission, and it was a great pregnancy. While carrying my second baby I was diagnosed w/DLE as well and it was a very hard pregnancy. I had my baby 3 month's early (she was 3 pounds 3 ounces) and later @3 month's she broke out w/the rash. While carrying my last baby I had a very hard pregnancy as well. I needed my gallbladder out but of course I had to wait until I gave birth. She was born 1 month early (4 pounds). My girl's are now 27, 20, 18 and they are doing well.💜

i have two wonderful children. It's perfectly ok to have children with lupus. The OB just needs to be familiar with Lupus and understand the high risk nature of the pregnancy. Many women, like myself, actually have their Lupus go into complete remission while pregnant. When I was pregnant I felt fantastic, no symptoms at all.
