Benlysta Question

I have a question. When someone starts Benlysta, does this help eliminate other medications such as Plaquenil, Methotrextate, etc or do you still have to continue on them as well???

I'm still on Cellcept and plaqenele (sp?) but I was able to taper down on prednisone when I was in Benlysta which I'm very sensitive to when I'm not on Benlysta, coming down of prednisone is brutal!!! I had to discontinue it because my nephritis flared but after I tear I'm
Hoping to get back on it in Feb. I can't get down off of 20mg of Pred and it drives me crazy!

I'm on Benlysta, and have to continue taking Plaquenil, too.

I am still taking all the meds I started with. The Benlysta is in conjunction with the plaquenil to help get the lupus controlled.

I think that would depend on if your Meds are working the way their supposed to! 😁
