No name for it but I do have sore neck and shoukders frequently. Rest - lots - and swimming a bit seem to help a bit. Hope you are feeling better.

It's a flare...I am currently going through these now. I'm on a low dose of prednisone and I wrap up in my heated throw to help with the pain. Feel better.

I have all over joint pain and as of yesterday from my jaw to my toes is nothing but pain in my joints. I have my s.o. massage this pain cream (pinned on my pg) and tht works really well. Also my heating pad, as it feels like my joints lock up.

My rheumy has me on 800 mg of gabapentin and 500 mg of Tylenol taken at the same time three times a day for pain. I also like to take a nice warm bath with Epson salts and also I put in bath beads as my skin is dry. Don't over do using your neck and shoulders. Sitting at a computer and/or desk work is very detrimental so if you do make sure to take time out 10 minutes every hour to stretch your shoulders and arms and roll your neck in a circle. I had to do it every 30 minutes as sitting at a computer you are in a position too long in the same position that affects your shoulders and arms. Think about when you lift anything or whatever it may be that causes stress on your neck and shoulders. Be careful when getting a neck or back massage as it can cause permanent damage to your neck.
