i heard aspirin make the platelet go down and also if you take it you will bleed???????so how come if you have lupus you can take it????//
For us with lupus we are at higher risk of liver & kidney damage. This is why they do not prefer us to take it. Hope this helps you out.
I have to take low dose aspirin because I am prone to blood clots. For me, the benefits outweigh the risks.
It is something that would be in lower dosages and monitored by a doctor. What you heard is correct. However asprin is one of the best and cheapest approaches to conquering blood clots. Think when people have heart attacks they are informed to chew on an asprin this helps to break down the clots. With lupus clotting can occur. However we are more susceptible to kidney and liver issues. Thus like the use of corticosteroids, they are utilized just monitored closely.
