Unhappy With Current Rheumatologist And Wondering Where To Go Next. Anyone Tried National Jewish In Denver?
Rough 5 years. Lupus, PMR, bilateral sacral stress fractures, blood clots. On Prednisone, plaquenil, Coumadin, omeprazole, vit d, ,calcium, Boniva infusions. Tried Methotrexate-exhausted me and lost all sense of smell. Tried Imuran-really interfered with my Coumadin. Tapering off Imuran now, currently on 50 mg daily, and on 14mg of Coumadin daily. Going through the same after all this time I am now getting set up with a rhematology Dr I have my pulmonary Dr and my hematology Dr and my family Dr dealing with the lupus my family Dr decided it was time to see one thank goodness I take a lot of medication but they try the other 2 medication on me before imuran but I was allergic to them but they want me to go to Pittsburgh to see rheumatology but it take 4 month to get in to see them so I am holding on until then
Why would you go all the way to another state? Do they not have other Rheumalology doctors where you live? They all guess because they are not Lupus specialist, there is no such doctor, but if you really do not like him, try looking in your own state first.
