Twitches, awful muscle spasms…yep. I have found though, for myself, if I pay close attention I can usually feel the muscle start to twitch before a full on painful spasm. If I catch it, I can get a washcloth soaked in warm water that has magnesium in it (like 1/4cup), and put that washcloth over the spot. It backs it off and usually stops the spasm. If my whole body is aching, a bath tub with 2 cups of magnesium and a soak for an hour, calms my whole body down. Even my fibromyalgia! Try it if you need it! I’d love to hear if it works for you too!
One of the things that I found out that help me the most at what time was to stop taking all different kind of medication just because the doctor prescribes it to you, gapaentin almost killed me and so did Lexapro, when I stopped taking all that stuff my uncontrollable tremors stopped
Try the Epsom salts in a warm bath, see if it helps. You also should probably ask your doctor how your magnesium levels are doing. Mine tend to be low, so magnesium supplements really do help her tremendously! Good luck and God bless you!
I have essential tremors. And I have been taking Lexapro for depression for years. Now my sister thinks that I have twitches and Jerks from that like the commercial on TV. The tremors are really out of control. I thought I had Parkinson disease. But the test for that is a nuclear test with hours of IV of dye..iodine which I am allergic to really bad. So..that is out. I had tried different meds for the tremors but they left me feeling like a zombie! Now after 3 days of tremors and no sleep...I am now dealing with very high blood pressure and the headaches that go along with that. A real problem is that I have 2 brain aneurysms which is dangerous. In bed trying to as people say calming 😴 myself!!
Hi, I had terrible calf spasms which were so painful. I noticed it was on days I was dehydrated or drank fizzy drinks. Try drink lots of water and add Mg to your diet. Hope it helps
