Does anybody else have trouble growing nails? Mine chip, peel, crack and when they crack they crack longwise from cuticle to finger tip. Does anybody have anything that helps with them?

@A MyLupusTeam Member It's over the counter in the vitamin/mineral aisle. You can get it at any drugstore or WalMart. I buy the Store Brand-Biotin 1000mcg. It's a Dietary Supplement that helps hair, skin and nails. Good luck! Hugs!

@A MyLupusTeam Member how much biotin are you taking? I'm fighting a flair up now and taking biotin it's helping me keep my hair. I usually lose a lot of my hair when I flair up. Maybe you need to take more for it to help you. ;)

I use biotin, but when I go into a crisis it looks like the biotin doesn't work.

Take biotin, that's what my dr told me after I told her my nails were so thin it hurt to wash dishes, sometimes they would bend back when I would pull the clothes out of the washer. After 3 months of taking biotin my nails grew long and beautiful again. But don't stop using it because I did and my nails got thin again they are now starting to grow thicker. ;)
