Low Platelets And Antidepressants

Low Platelets And Antidepressants

I am supposed to be starting an antidepressant, but I've read they can cause platelets to drop lower, and can result in bleeding. Does anyone have low platelets and taking an antidepressant find they lower them?

I'm taking cymbalta and haven't had any issues. Beside it helping with depression it is also known to help with inflammation. Since Ive been taking it I have seen a difference with less inflammation.

I have been on November antidepressant for past experience years. I was already anemic
However I haven't heard from my doctors that my platelets have been lowered from the medication. I would suggest seeing a psychiatrist who has dealt with Lupus.

My doctor prescribed me cymbalta for the depression. I'm about to start it so I will let you know if there are any size effects.
