I got a phone call quite early this morning from my doctor...this is usually a red flag! She advised me to stop the imuran due to a blood test indication my liver function was now poor. She believed it was from the Imurin since it was introduced a month ago. Has anyone else had this issue? Did live function return to normal quickly after stopping. I am very thankful I do not drink alcohol for i can't imagine what the combination would do.
I have been on Imuran 100 mg for almost 8 months. Thank God no problem. I did have problem with plaquenil. You should be ok as you caught the elevated liver functions ASAP. Have faith I'll say a prayer🙏🏻
The first time I took imuran along with pain medications it caused me to have liver an kidney function problems. I had to stop taking both medications an everything went back to normal very quickly.
I been on it for 12 years no problems from it.
Phew...thanks for responding quickly. I know my doctor is upset because she just called me again asking me to call my other doctors and to stay out of the sun.
