Has anyone been hospitalized for insomnia?

I struggle with insomnia a lot. My rheumatologist has prescribed me flexiril. It's a muscle relaxer and it causes drowsiness but it's not supposed to put me to sleep, it's supposed to relax me enough so I fall asleep on my own. It usually kicks in after about 1.5-2 hours.

@A MyLupusTeam Member sounds like it's time to go back to your family doctor or rheumy and tell him your not coping with the amount of sleep your getting right now

I have been hospitalized for it. I have sleep apnea, and take 400mg of trazadone to sleep, which keeps me asleep 5-7 hrs.

@SarahPfeifer buy a fitbit alta. Show your doctor your sleep pattern. My doctors took it more seriously.
