I have a cat I got from the Humane Society. She is 2 years old and was left behind when her owners moved. She was so frightened they marked her farrel. The cut a piece off her ear and marked her to be destroyed. I brought her home. She is big, 12 pounds, medium hair, grey with orange eyes. I love her. I’ll tell you why we feel so much better with animals around...they give us unconditional love. They put no restraints on us or judgement in how they love us. They live in the now and accept us in each moment of the day. We can be irritable and snap at them and within seconds they will come back to us seeking warmth and love and giving it in turn. If you are Christian oriented they are an answered prayer from God. If you are spiritual they are our spirits answer to companionship. They may not understand our grief or pain, but their love and empathy carry us through and they ask so little from us in turn.
Their there for you.love you unconditionally. They are good companions. Living alone isnt always easy.
They seem to have a sixth sense and can tell how you’re feeling. And like Kim said, they love you unconditionally
My cat saved me too! Sure I rescued her from a terrible situation, but without her, I might never get out of bed. She has such a warm, comforting presence. .
