I had Squamous-cell carcinoma on my chest. It was removed after spreading. I hope your dermatologists is watching it carefully. Totally treatable but most likely will need to be removed. Thinking of you!
I have been dealing with this sort of thing also for 1 1/2 years - sores in my head (all over) that have a liquid in them and sore to touch. I have had Lupus for 32 years now and have been on plaquenil for at least 25 years. I was given a medicated shampoo and medicated lotion for them by the Dermatologist but they don't work - been doing this for a year now... I want to see an Allergist - hoping they might find an answer. I will advise you if I find something that works - please do the same for me - Have a very happy, healthy spring.
I had squamous cell carcinoma removed from the top of my scalp in December of 2011, but positive ANA wasn't until October 2015, with Lupus SLE diagnosis in April 2016. I do not have skin involvement, just internal organ involvement, which is enough. I had quite a bit of hair loss starting a couple of years before Lupus diagnosis, but since treatment started in Novermber 2015, hair has come back and much thicker. I see a dermatilogist, and skin involvement was rulled out. I have a check up every 6 months with dermatologist...along with rheumatologist, pulmonologist, hematologist, renal specialist, gastrointerologist, along with primary care doctor. Sounds like a lot, but I it has made me feel better than I have in years. Thankful for insurance and great doctors.
No No don’t even say that I mean I am not a doctor but I know and hv read a lot about discoid lupus and it just attacks where ever it feels like in ur case it’s head so sorry mine was chest/back once plaqnuil kicked in and some steroid cream it cleared up that’s why think a dermatologist would be a good idea . Have seen other women losing hair and spots on head blad spots, just they will biopsey like they did with bump on my back came bac discoid lupus ana positive stay out of sun take plaqnuil and life went on . It was before google and internet phones I kinda just went in denial watched the sun and ignored it. Problem now is we hv Too much information unfortunately it’s scary and not right u can google stuff now and a lot is wrong it’s good on one hand bad on the other. If had these phones & google when back when diagnosed prob would be dead by now . We had no reference we just went about life seen doc ever 6 months now it’s too much don’t worry but do go too dermatologist . Soft hugs once u get right med it will be fine lots of women on here hv hair loss seen a few get wigs🤒🤒 ihv a blessed Sunday funday 🦋🦋🦋
