I had Squamous-cell carcinoma on my chest. It was removed after spreading. I hope your dermatologists is watching it carefully. Totally treatable but most likely will need to be removed. Thinking of you!

I have been dealing with this sort of thing also for 1 1/2 years - sores in my head (all over) that have a liquid in them and sore to touch. I have had Lupus for 32 years now and have been on plaquenil for at least 25 years. I was given a medicated shampoo and medicated lotion for them by the Dermatologist but they don't work - been doing this for a year now... I want to see an Allergist - hoping they might find an answer. I will advise you if I find something that works - please do the same for me - Have a very happy, healthy spring.

I had squamous cell carcinoma removed from the top of my scalp in December of 2011, but positive ANA wasn't until October 2015, with Lupus SLE diagnosis in April 2016. I do not have skin involvement, just internal organ involvement, which is enough. I had quite a bit of hair loss starting a couple of years before Lupus diagnosis, but since treatment started in Novermber 2015, hair has come back and much thicker. I see a dermatilogist, and skin involvement was rulled out. I have a check up every 6 months with dermatologist...along with rheumatologist, pulmonologist, hematologist, renal specialist, gastrointerologist, along with primary care doctor. Sounds like a lot, but I it has made me feel better than I have in years. Thankful for insurance and great doctors.
