@ Kimberley Jenkins what state do you live in? I live in TX & there is a state program called QMB. They help me with prescriptions cause my Medicare is so low. You might want to check into it. I'm going to pay nothing for my Rituxan. Some others I've been on cost me $25. It is an awesome program if you have low income. My rheumy had a form to fill out where it would have cost me $45 if my insurance would not have covered it. Check with your rheumy also. Hope this is helpful.
@A MyLupusTeam Member I live in Indianapolis, IN, and I tried to applying for perscription assistance, and was turned down for that! They actually said my income was too much! I am on Disability, and have a small Pension (I took a reduced Pension when I had to retire early due to my health in 2012)! But they say because I have no dependants, and not living alone, (was living with my Sister, and have now moved in with my Daughter and Son-in-Law), for one person to get assistance, my income is just too much! Indiana's guidelines are ridicule ous when trying to get any type of assistance for anything! When you are a Senior here trying to get help, I think what they really want (especially if you're on Disability, is for you to move into an Assisted Living facility, or a Nursing Home facility! Then they take all of your money! It is such a no-win situation!
