Good morning. I am a newly diagnosed with SLE. Have any of you had experience with holistic or homeopathy to relieve symptoms? Essential oils?

I started out 10 years ago when I was diagnosed on a horrible cocktail of drugs including Plaquenii prednisone morphing for pain. and anti inflammatory drugs at first they seemed to work but after a while I felt awful . Tired all day with no incentive to do anything .Is then that I started looking into naturopathic medicines. All healthy and full of good ness and I felt better within I suppose two weeks I find lavender oil very relaxing before bed if used with Cammomile or peppermint tea .I have kick d all my drugs now tho I’m not always upbeat due to rheumatoid arthritis I m able t cope . My doctor wasn’t happy in fact he was very off with me but I told him it’s my body and I feel better with naturopathic medicine and my body isn’t being poisoned but I guess it’s such a big decision it’s not going to work if you don’t believe it can

frankincense helps with muscle pain. Just rub it into the aching muscle or joint.

I use essential oils and find them very helpful. I also use turmeric for inflammation and has helped me cut down on prednisone a lot ( slowly getting off it I hope ). There are lots of essential oils so I'd say look up your symptoms and read up on any of the oils that sound like you'd enjoy the smell. Make sure you read the warnings for each oil and how to use it.

Hi, after years of being on prednisone, cellcept and a handful of meds. I opted to try homeopathy. I have to say my nephritis has reduced, joint inflammations have gone down and we treating them at the root. Ive also started watching my diet and opting for herbal products.
