Has Anyone Ever Tried Cymbalta For Pain??? I'm Very Reluctant To Try It.

I went to my Dr to let her know that the Celexa she gave me us not working, I'm still in constant daily pain.... Instead of trying Lyrica or Gabapentin she prescribed Cymbalta....

I cannot take medications such as Cymbalta, Lyrica etc. They are SSRI medications. I have adverse reactions to any of them. I ended up in the hospital due to the reaction to them. Everyone is different. It helps some and some do not get help. It depends on your body make up and chemistry.

Cymbalta changed my life. I felt 90 before I took it. My pain is managed very well now. I also take Hydroxychloquine.

I was on it for almost two weeks. Right after I started taking it, I had severe diarrhea to the point I could not leave the bathroom. I swelled up like I swallowed a huge 18 or more pound watermelon. I could hear, and so could my husband, what sounded like a river running through my stomach. It was horrible. I ended up in the hospital. I cannot take SSRI medications which are Cymbalta, Savella, and any other one of these medications.

Yes, cymbalta is incredibly effective for my fibromyalgia pains. But, my gastroparesis prohibits me from taking it anymore. (The time release capsules do not dissolve). I didn’t have much luck with it for any other pain relief.

I do great in cymbalta with way less side effects than gabapenton.
