Has Anyone Had Or Have A Blood Clot ?

This past Friday I went to the emergance room cause I had pain going down my left side of my neck. I was seen by some Drs that could'nt figure out what was going on, until they had me have a ultrasound. I was taken to a diffrent room and they sat me down to tell me I have a clot in the area of my neck. Then Drs told me maybe you should stay over night, of coures I said I would feel much better in my home. So they gave me the medications and injections that I have to take every day

I have had several blood clots. My left leg has old blood clots from top to bottom. There is fibrinogen formed around them so won't come loose. Have had them for 23 or 24 years. I am on Coumadin to keep my blood thin. Have had no side effects except bleed really easy. Thot Lupus cause it to clot but I have antiphosphid lipid syndrome which causes my blood to clot. I have had 4 or 5 clots go thru my 💓. Some I felt and some I didn't. My right lung is shrunk up from them. Clots are nothing to mess around with. They can come loose and go through your heart.prayers are given for you. Hope you get some answers and best of luck. I believe that God wants me here on Earth and that is why I survived them going through my 💓.

I’ve had several blood clots. My first and by far my worst was in 2014. I had a left calf DVT from my ankle up to behind my knee in both main veins. I end up passing out going down a small incline and my oxygen saturation was only in the 60’s. I figured out on the way to the emergency room that I had a DVT and most likely PE’s. (Past medical field) The ER doctor was in and out of my room with heart patients and didn’t really listen to me. She only did an X-ray and the majority of the time nothing shows up, sometimes a Hamptons Hump will be seen, but not with mine. They kept me overnight and I told the hospitalist my thoughts in the morning and his response,” good catch”. I had the ultrasound of my leg done and it was certainly severe. At that point I had no doubt I had PE’s. A few hours later they did the CT and I had multiple bilateral and a saddle PE. I almost died. I initially was on Warfarin then switched to Coumadin along with Lovenox in the hospital for 7 days. Warfarin and Coumadin didn’t work long term for me so I stayed on Lovenox for 3 months and then switched to Xarelto for life. I had many autoimmune disease and I keep getting diagnosed with new ones each year. I have Lupus, APS, MS, Raynauds, Sjogrens (multi-connective tissue disease) CFS, Fibromyalgia, plus so much more. With Warfarin I always felt cold when taking it. Coumadin I don’t recall any side effects. Lovenox was okay, though, who loves giving shots that sting like a bee. I’ve had no side effects from Xarelto and have had no problems while on it.

I had multiple pulmonary embolisms ( clots that went from my leg into my lungs) I am a hospital employee and an EMT... take this seriously.... my clots almost took my life... i found out lupus caused me to have antiphospholipid syndrome... sticky .. I am on a daily blood thinner.... blood clots can happen for many reasons but until they are shown to be gone by a follow up exam its a good idea to keep a close eye on things.

I had an extensive blood clot deep in my right leg 2 years ago. I too was diagnosed with lupus induced anticoagulant syndrome. I know have the syndrome where my leg “thinks” there is a clot and it swells during certain conditions. I Am on Eliquis twice a day for life. I don’t think I have side affects, so so far so good..

I had a blood clot before i was diagnosed with Lupus and several since being diagnosed. I was diagnosed with Lupus Antiocougalant blood clotting disorder. I have been on Lovenox for 5 years no side affects except the uncomfortableness of a shot.
