I have lived this, I am so sorry! Over the years I have had H-pylori, had gall bladder issues, have to watch candida overgrowth and other unfriendly bacteria infections as well as issues where my esophagus over contracts and I will spontaneously vomit because messaging gets wonky. I have celiac disease also.
It is all related to SLE but not obvious like joint pain, rashes and nephritis. A decent GI doctor will help figure it out. 💜
@A MyLupusTeam Member you are not going crazy. SLE is little researched, little understood and management is more about well educated hunches then/than (grammar expert help! SLE brained this morning) actual hard data acquired through scientific method. We are getting there though.
Crazy is related to internal thought/emotion stressors on the soul, which lead to maladaptive cognitive and behavioral self management systems. SLE creates internal physical stressors which lead to emotional stress which lead to wonky thought. That is normal for all people in the planet. SLE is one of the most stressful and difficult diseases to live with and through.
You have this!! 💜
I was told not to eat or drink 2-4 hours before bed. My GI says it causes that. I have it too my IBS is bad I get stressed more than usual I'll wake up w the urge to cough for no reason then boom I vomit..I sit up for an hour or so w honey drops to soith my throat from vomiting. Lupus is a viscious cycle of other things like fibro, IBS etc..try not eating or drinking see if it helps. Hugs
