Saw the rheumatologist yesterday. Im feeling SUPER lost right now. I was diagnosed with tumid lupus which only effects skin by what I was told/all the reading I have done. I was sent for blood work to be on the safe side. Results all came back with what I assume are signs that it is NOT just my skin involved. The rhumatologist has more or less dismissed all issues expect for my hip/ si joint issues. Im not sure now if I am just wrong or if it is something I should push the issue on. I… read more
I was told by a Rhuematologist that I didn't have Lupus even though my blood test showed I did. Won't go back.
Thanks everyone! I have follow up apts with the derm and my gp. I have decided my plan of action is to verify with the derm exactly what the tumid is/isn't and what results I should or should not have expected with the blood work to ensure that I am not misunderstanding something. I will then take that info along with research that I have done to my gp and ask for a second referral elsewhere. I will also be asking the gp to look further into the urnalysis. If I don't go in with my facts, im sure I will continue to be shuffled through the system until things become sever. Even if things are mild I cannot just let it go. I have a family and life that depends on me!!!
You tested Positive on ANA and your symptoms are rash. That's how they make your diagnosis based on ANA along with symptoms. 💗
@A MyLupusTeam Member ... He did not even mention a follow up. Asked me to get new x-rays and said to monitor the protein showing on the urnalysis. (How to do that without setting up anything i have no clue?!) Im going to call the office on Monday and see if I missed something in regards to a follow up, but I feel like they literally just pushed me along! Im taking nothing other than naproxen as needed. I have a cream for the neck rash from the dermatologist. I see her again end of Nov and my family Dr in Dec. The rheumatologist says that all the reports are due to the rash.
