Should I Take My Medrol/ Prednisone Dose Pack?

My doctor put me on another prednisone dose pack for six days. I have significant inflammation in my joints and it is very difficult for me to walk and get around. I recently started plaquenil and I’ve been in a flair for quite some time. My question is what is the point of taking a short term Dose of prednisone when the inflammation will only return And most likely I will feel worse when it does. You just have to weigh the good and bad out. Does the Predizone help.or not. I find that when I get a flare up that predisone is the only thing that will reduce my flare up. But your worst enemy is u and stress. Work on controlling your stress levels and be patient. Stress is the worst. If you can control your stress levels then it will help tremendously.

I’m on prednisone and plaquinal as well. My doctor said only wants me on the prednisone because currently so much inflammation.

I took predisone and plaquenil when I was first diagnosed with lupus.
Eventually the plaquenil will get in your system and reduce the inflammation.
To where I was taking off the predisone. Hopefully this happens to you. Feel better.

I've taken prednisone in the past with no change in inflammation or pain from inflammation, it makes my issues worse my doctor won't prescribe steroids for me anymore.
