Plaquenil

Plaquenil

Feeling hot and cold with a sore throat today. Started taking Plaquenil last week. Is this common from taking this medication?

Every one reacts differently to different drugs. I couldn't do Plaquenil. It made me extremely sick at my stomach and I tried it two times. Just try it for a while and see how it works out you.

Two months after starting the plaquenil, I caught pneumonia, then bronchitis, then the flu, then bronchitis again. I was out of work for two months. Only to find out plaquenil is an immunosuppressant. My doctor advised me to stay away from elderberry and any kind of vitamin that will boost my immune system, as that defeats the purpose of the plaquenil. Who knew? That was a year ago. I followed his advise, and I think I’ve been actually sick once in this past year.

Thank you so much for this feedback. The sore throat went away by the time i woke up and i dont have a fever. Maybe its just a weird side effect. I started feeling good when i started the medicine, but 5 days later i couldnt go to work due to extreme fatigue and pain. I wasn’t expecting that to happen. I will keep taking it and be patient as it is going to take time to work. Has anyone had neck/head pressure? This was one of the worst symptoms that has gone away with Plaquenil.
