I am on <a href="/treatments/plaquenil">Plaquenil</a>, and my doctor wants me to take an antidepressant (specifically <a href="/treatments/prozac">Prozac</a>) for both depression and anxiety. I am scared to mix antidepressants and <a href="/treatments/plaquenil">Plaquenil</a> due to reading that these can possibly interact, but I’m tired of suffering from mental health issues. Does anyone safely take <a href="/treatments/plaquenil">Plaquenil</a> with an antidepressant? <a href="/treatments/prozac">Prozac</a> to be specific, or any of the SSRIs? I have been in an antidepressant for 6 years due to a traumatic brain injury I suffered 6 years ago. Having just been officially diagnosed with lupus I had to change antidepressants due to a heart issue that can be caused while mixing the two together. I finally am in generic <a href="/treatments/zoloft">Zoloft</a> which could cause sudden drop in sugar but so far no issues. I had been on generic <a href="/treatments/lexapro">Lexapro</a>. My pharmacist caught the potential interaction with the generic <a href="/treatments/lexapro">Lexapro</a>.

I take an anti-anxiety medication and <a href="/treatments/plaquenil">Plaquenil</a>. I’ve never experienced any problems.

I take <a href="/treatments/zoloft">Zoloft</a> with no problem

I take <a href="/treatments/cymbalta">Cymbalta</a>.

<a href="/treatments/cymbalta">Cymbalta</a> with Hydroxychloroquine!!

I'm currently taking <a href="/treatments/plaquenil">Plaquenil</a> with an antidepressant I'm taking <a href="/treatments/zoloft">zoloft</a> I've been taking it for a couple months now and I haven't noticed a difference in my lupus

Yes, I’m on plaquenil and have been on various antidepressants for years with no problems.

Yes I'm on plaqunil and Zoloft and I been on my antidepressant for soo long I don't think I can ever go without it. Hope everything works out for you. Have a nice day

I used to take plaquanl with Paxil. I had negative effects with the plaquenil so no longer take it
