I read that it is safe but perhaps less effective for those with autoimmune disease. Has not been tested on that population.
At first I was skeptical about getting the vaccine cause of not enough studies have been done and I was advised by my rheumatologist that I take it at my own risk he doesn’t feel comfortable just cause they don’t have enough data on patients with any autoimmune diseases or immune compromised. But now after speaking with my friend whom decided to get the vaccine which she took the risk with an autoimmune disease (not sure what kind) after she received the first vaccine moderma post 8 days after she is having an adverse reaction. Her arm is swelled up and in a lot of pain as well as she’s been having uncontrollable tremors and muscle spasms. This completely scared me and now my job decides to make the vaccine mandatory to get it by may or you will be terminated. This is just so scary I wish there was more studies done before they brought out these vaccines. Now I’m dealing with trying to find another job which is sad cause I really enjoy my job but my health is more important for myself and my family. So just my personal advise I wouldn’t do it just cause it’s just to risky but ultimately it’s your own decision. Pray for those that decide to receive it that you have no adverse reaction.
