Has anyone taken evening primrose oil either for lupus or peri/menopause? I have been experiencing terrible hot flushes and was thinking of trying it. But in doing resrarch, I saw some people claiming it helps lupus. I'm always nervous about trying supplements and my doctor is always noncommittal.
I have tried numerous supplements for everything. I think I tried primrose, but had better luck with Flaxseed oil.
For hot flashes, I drink 8oz of soy milk with 4-1400mg gel tabs from ‘Nature Made’. Or the equivalent of two tablespoons of flaxseed oil daily.
This has helped my hot flashes tremendously for the past 10 years. 🤗
Glad to hear you recovered from covid! 🤗
I am not sure when COVID became lupus, maybe December? My energy level is still going backwards. I have chest pain with breathing issues. Oxygen is still 96%, before my O2 level was always at 100%, if not 98%. Still having sore throat with runny nose. And my kidney function is down according to the NMI testing. I am waiting to see my rheumatologist for treatment.
University of Bristol published the linoleic acid study back in September.😉
@A MyLupusTeam Member Hope your healing from CoV-19 continues more rapidly. I had it late Feb 2020. It was June before I got my energy back.
Re your comment on lineolic acid paralyzing CoV-19 do you have a link? I was unable to find anything to back that up, only suggestion to study it and suggestions how it might work against the virus
Good Morning! PhyllisEngelhardt
