Does Anyone Else Have APLS? If So Are You On Blood Thinners?

Does Anyone Else Have APLS? If So Are You On Blood Thinners?

I am currently needing to decide whether or not to go back on Lovenox. Ideally I would but the issue is I have had several internal bleeds from the Lovenox. So I have to decide to risk clots or do I take the med and risk a major bleed? Stressful.

Thank you for this very informative post. I will definitely look to change Doctors to get more treatment options.

Palative care is also helping with decisions like the blood thinner one.

Thanks again!!

Good Morning, I was wondering if you have tried Eliquis? It prevents clots too as well as thins the blood. I was on it for about 3 years. Have a blessed day in Jesus.

I understand your concerns with Lovenox. Why do they want to put you back on it. My doctors told us that we always have to have blood work with the blood thinners. We both were on Eliqius. But after my last surgeries I was took off it. It was suppose to prevent blood clots. I was put 81 mg Aspirin, Brilinta and Xarleto. So I got three for one.

I was on Lovenox, but had trouble with bleeding internally, and now I am on Warfarin which I like because I go for bloodwork and it can be adjusted as needed. I have never had internal bleeding with it.

Hi i have a blood clotting disorder which they call it lupus anticoagulant so i been told. But not sure if it's the same as apls. I took lovenox while i was pregnant with all three of my pregnancies throughout the whole pregnancy and now i am currently taking warfarin. I like warfarin better due to its a pill and i need to be on it the rest of my life so I'm told i don't know if i could of handle the lovenox injections all my life.
