I Would Like To Ask About Severe Hair Loss And How Many Are Dealing With This?

I have severe loss. It's something that I need an answer to. Is this normal, etc? The symptoms of this disease is overwhelming. Thank you.

I've learned how to know head wraps, wear hats, wear hats over head wraps, and should the day come, will invest in some wigs...always wanted to be a red head!

You will lose your hair from the disease itself and the hydrocloriquine/plaquniel. I wear a wig. My hair is stzrting to grow in, once it comes back the wig will go.

I've had dramatic hair l9ss for the last few years at age 57. Being on Plaquenil since mid 20's. A year ago had cataract surgery and in the last month had to have scar tissue removed from the cataract surgery a year ago. Just received my head bandana with scrunch in back, so it's actually a one piece half head turbine kinda thing ordered on Amazon. Seems to hide my bald spot very well

Yes hair loss is common with Systemic Lupus- both the disease and the treatment/ Plaquinel/ methotrexate also cause hair loss. I wear a wig, people think it is my hair. When the hair grows back l will put it away.

I have been on both Plaquinel and Methotrexate, l have experienced hair loss with the both of them. Both the drug and the illness itself cause hair loss. I have been wearing a wig until my hair comes back in.
