I'm currently in the middle of my 3rd flare in a little over a month.. low grade fever, vomiting, fatigue, severe headaches lowered kidney function, and the constant feeling of phlegm blocking my throat. How do I get relief from these symptoms? Someone please help. My current treatment consists of prednisone, zofran, Phenergan suppositories, norco and lots of fluids my rheumatologist sucks and my primary doctor is unsure of what to do.
I will definitely talk to my doctor about it
Have you tried adding plaqinal. It helps
My flares are brought on by a systemic release of histamine which is initiated by inflammation which can be initiated by stress. I stop histamine release by taking Zyrtec and Allergra, which decreases or prevents lupus flares from occurring.
To stop inflammation, I changed to a diet absent of inflammatory foods and absent of lectins. I then added back anti-inflammatory food, spices, herbs, and supplements; minerals; vitamins; and antioxidants to my diet.
I would try and elevate the headache, I had HA my whole life and once diagnosed with migraines and began treatments for the migraine. My congestion cleared, nausea goes away. Try to find other pain relief than norco or any opioid. If you live in a state that approves medical THC. This would help with most of your symptoms
