Yes I was on Effexor for years then it stoped working. My psychiatrist switched me to Pristiq which is Effexor but it works on more of the neurotransmitters

My doc wants to switch me to Cymbalta bc it doesn’t interact with Amitriptyline (sp?) and other meds. Yet, I have been doing so well on my Effexor, I hate to try an unknown drug, especially having so many reactions to meds.
So, I was wondering if anyone could share the good, bad, and/or ugly experiences they have had with it.
I've been taking Plaquenil for years with no issues. My therapist just put me on Effexor for anxiety. She said the medications are safe to take together but when I did a quick google just to ease my mind, it said differently. I'm going to call my pharmacist just to be sure but in the mean time, I was curious if anyone was already taking this combination and if you've had any interactions. Thanks!

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with lupus and have been in hydroxychloriquine for a month. This week my doc put me on the anti depressants Effexor and I am feeling dizzy and light headed. Has anyone ever experienced this? Thanks for your support!
Effexor/Venaflaxin take some time to build up in your system. I had nightmares when I first started it but it has helped with depression and with pain. I would have had to stop work a long time ago… read more
