Hormonal Acne

Hormonal Acne

Hi, I'm 20 and still dealing with acne problems since the age of 12.

At first, I knew that it was normal during adolescence, but now I'm just sick of it! I've tried almost E-VE-RY-THING!

It isn't as bad as it used to, but now I always get painful pimples on my jawline, a lot of little pimples around my chin and my mouth. I read somewhere that it's Hormonal Acne. I'm really self conscious about it, sometimes it's hard making eye contact while talking with someone, because I kept thinking that they… read more

Treatment with PCOS and Lupus

Treatment with PCOS and Lupus

Hello, does anyone have PCOS in addition to their lupus? I got my PCOS dx before my UCTD dx (which I suspect to be Lupus soon). Since my PCOS dx I take the pill in long cycle because otherwise I experience too much pain and cysts don't stop growing. I don't ovulate.
Doctors here say the pill it the only treatment option if I don't want to get pregnant, but I heard that the pill and Lupus is never good.... Help :) thanks

Does anyone suffer from obssessive thoughts?

Does anyone suffer from obssessive thoughts?

So, does anyone out there ever have bouts where they think depressing thoughts? I often have these thoughts dealing with my own mortality. My brain tends to run around in circles wondering what will happen when I die, is there an afterlife, good grief what if there isn't, I didn't ask to be born and thrown on this crazy merry-go-round! And so on like that. It doesn't happen too frequently. I think it happens most often when I'm having trouble sleeping. The mind just… read more

Irregular periods and Lupus connection?

Irregular periods and Lupus connection?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has hormonal issues with their Lupus that causes very irregular periods? Numerous times now I've had periods that were less than 2 weeks apart but I'm not sure why. I saw my obgyn who suggested it was hormone changes due to my age but I've only just turned 39 last month and my other doctors disagree with her and feel I'm too young for pre-menopausal symptoms. So I started wondering if it's related to my Lupus since they do know hormones play… read more
