The depression I had made it difficult for me to sleep(along with high doses of pred) so I was prescribed amitriptyline(I would say it helped. I wasn't on such a high dose) and then I have also been on trazadone(not at the same time of course). Effectiveness: they helped and noticed feeling better from good sleep. Symptom wise: I wish I remembered. I thankfully haven't needed them in a while.

Fluoxetine (prozac) it helps. I also do yoga and palatis

Doxepin was prescribed to help me sleep but also helps depression
