I forgot to tell you I didn't get any of those side affects. I was on the medication from 1992-2015
From the sheet that I have, when I bought it says: Nausea, stomach cramps, diarrhea, dizziness, or headach may accur. Infrequently Probems that can be more serious: problems with your vision, fever, soar throat, seizures, shortness of breath, swelling ankles, and there are a lot more. I would pull up the medication on internet and it can tell you a lot more. Have a great Mother's Day.
I've never had any problems with it. I know hair loss can be an issue, so can GI problems. I get my eyes checked once a year to continue being on it.
I had to stop as it made me so sick. It can also lead to blindness, if you can't tolerate it. Make sure to keep open dialogue with your doctor.
I have several scares on my legs. Two or three months ago I saw a dermatolagist for biopsie's of those scares. The results were it was due to the plaqinel. My doctor took me off of plaquenil. He perscribed something else to use. It is called Voltaren 1% Gel. My doctor has in the directions to apply 4 times a day. I have only been using it when I am in pain and it does work. When I was on plaquenil. I had to have my eyes checked every 6 months. Now that I am off of it, I don't need to.
