All my life, I believed I would eventually be an organ donor, so long as things work that way.
Now that I have lupus, is organ donation even an option for my malfunctioning-everything? Is my blood worth anything, it does after all contain my white blood cells (it makes sense that since they are attacking me, they would attack anyone taking them in).
I keep forgetting to ask during my appointments, maybe because I'm afraid to know. Has anyone else asked?
My partner gives blood & plasma. I will get him to ask whether a lupus sufferer can donate blood?? It's a good question.
I was a blood doner and they stopped me donating the minute I was diagnosed.
No you can't donate blood but if you pass your eyes are still donateable, love it when I make words lol
No you can't as far as i know because of the white blood count plus the high proteins in it.
I keep forgetting to ask also, but if your eyes are fine they can be donated, but if find out you cant. PeteBrittan makes a good point I have been having with my family dontating my organs for science to find the cure for lupus if it helps, we need more into into this question I quess, anyone out there now let us no also thanks
