I did a little research for you; there's a lupus chapter in CT, and they have a Facebook page. It looks like they have organized events and a number you can call if you have questions. I'm not sure how close you are to Farmington, but in general it looks like it's about an hour away. I hope that helps.

Aw, thanks! Hopefully things will begin to turn around for you. Remember you are never alone! Good luck in finding a good doctor. Ones that honestly care are few and far between. :) have a great evening!

First, let me start of by saying "Happy Birthday " to you. I can not believe you did that for me,Sydney, thank you SO much, you don't know how much I appreciate you taking time out of your day to try to help me. I had the biggest smile on my face when I read your post . Most people these days don't go out of their way for other people, I would, but I don't think many do. Anyway, Farmington is like an 1 -1/2 from me , but if that is the closest I can find, then that is where I will go. I have been looking for about a year and never see anything in this area, it is strange. But I really need to connect with people who are going through what we go through. I have a sister close by that is always there for me, but she has a husband and children and her own life as well. I live alone and was never married so I have no children either. I was engaged years ago and that did not work out , so my mom and I got a place together. My Dad passed when I was 13 and unfortunately, my mom passed 2 years ago very unexpectedly and that broke my heart. There is nothing like having your mom around and now that I have this, I really miss her. I am scared and lonely and sometimes just wish she was here to give me a hug. I do have my baby girl, Snickers, she is a black pug and she is what I live for. I read your Bio and I am so sorry you were diagnosed so young. It is terrible at any age, but when you are younger that really stinks. I will let you know how I make out with a support group. I am going on 2 years with the disease and have yet to get a definite diagnosis, but I am close. I am 100 percent sure it is Lupus , I have just had crummy luck with good doctors. So have a Happy Birthday and thank you again and I look forward to chatting with you in the future. Good luck, honey
