I'm taking methylphenidate (Ritalin) for fatigue and A DD. It helps. I wouldn't be able to function without it
I take 5mg of Adderall daily for fatigue. It works so much better than Provigil, which is all I was offered before. I really like that I don't HAVE to take it to function, so on days that I could rest a lot, I don't even take it. It has been a game-changer.
I take 15 mg of Adderal. I was able to get a script from a neurologist. I requested testing for cognitive deficits and ended up with a New ADHD diagnosis from Cushings (from prednisone) I would be bedridden without it.

I currently take adderrall xr to help with my fatigue symptoms, but I was also diagnosed long ago with ADHD. Most rheumatologists and PCP's will not prescribe this medication because it is a controlled substance. I was prescribed mine by a psychiatrist in approx. 2001 and was also diagnosed with ADHD at that time. ADHD is often under-diagnosed in women because most doctors think this is a disease of men, especially younger male children, and often miss the signs and symptoms in girls and women. Most women only get diagnosed later in adulthood, after they have managed to deal with it for years undiagnosed. I know in my case I was starting to have severe cognitive dysfunction and this was diagnosed via testing. I actually started on ritalin xr and took that for a long time, but was moved over to adderrall xr as it was deemed safer to take with my other lupus/RA meds. Researchers are starting to now look into the neurological effects that having lupus and other autoimmune diseases, and are suggesting that there may be links between developing psychological symptoms as a result of autoimmune disorders. These diseases attack not just your joints but also your internal organs and your brain, Many are suggesting that patients find a psychiatrist who will work hand in hand with your rheumatologist to help manage many of the psychological symptoms along with the physical symptoms. I am lucky to have both a great psychiatrist and rheumatologist that work with each other to make sure that the meds I take do not interact with each other and that there are both in agreement before prescribing any psychological meds.
I hope this gives you some information to pursue it further. Hugs to you. Sherry
