Hi everyone! So about a week ago, I went to the restroom and realized that my urine smelled like cat urine. this has NEVEr happened before.. I thought maybe i was a bit dehydrated.. I have protein & blood in my urine. Had the flank pain also. They did a kidney biopsy & found I had Lupus & stage 3b kidney disease. My blood work never showed the markers for Lupus. I'd ask your doctor to check your kidneys better
I am having the same issue ..it's embarrassing in public it's that bad..like if I go to a public restroom my pee smells horrible
Hi. There are many reasons that your urine smells like cat urine, or ammonia. This includes dehydration; change in diet (more greens), supplements, or medications; bacterial infection; or other conditions (liver problems, diabetes, pregnancy). If you've already tried hydrating (great idea), it might be worth considering other options and/or seeing a doctor.
My urine smells like amonia and my hair has beenfalling out from the roots , it's never happend like this before.
