I haven't heard of vicoprofen but looked it up it is hydrocodone and ibuprofen together.

I completely understand your pain. There are medications that aren't so hard on you such as vicoprofen.

I'm always on plaquenil 200mg a day an prednisone 5mg a day but when things act up add 5 mg of prednisone at night as well to try to stop things before they start. If I have to I go 10mg am 10 mg pm for a few days an then go back down over 2 weeks

When I first started they had me at 30mg of prednisone but it didn't really do anything with my joint pains and I started coughing up blood along with fever and chills and I was just sick got hospitalize five days and since then they out me on 60mg until today, it's already been 3 weeks and my joints barely ache. :) I know the side effects are bad with all the steroids but having pain everyday I don't even know how to bare with all that along with other symptoms.

My iron was low 2 yrs ago.. I couldn't taken iron pills so I had to get a hematologit for iron IV transfusions.. You might want to look into that. I have been on 30 before of prednisone and in January had a bad flare up to wear my liver enzymes were at 3800 and I was jaundice in the hospital for 19 days.. I was given 60 MG of Prednisone at that time finally have weend off to 5 mg still to this day and the Liver enzymes are back to normal. I don't take any extra things unless talked over with my rheumatologist and my Gastrointestinal doctors.. Hope your pain gets under control soon
