What Is The Best Sunscreen Product You Have Found?

A MyLupusTeam Member asked a question 💭
Germantown, MD

I find it really difficult to remember to reapply every two hours, and many of the sunscreens I've tried don't seem to provide all that solid protection. I'm wondering if there are any new sunscreen innovations that provide better or longer lasting protection? What works for you?

Thanks for any thoughts!

I also like Neutrogena. There is one for your face that's light and not greasy. I asked a pharmacist and he suggested neutrons products.

Neutrogena, ultra sheer lotion, at least 70 SPF. Works soooo well. Went to florida this summer and used mainly this. I only got burnt when I ran out and had to use the walmart brand lol.

Hello,
My dermatologist and Rheumatologist both recommended CeraVe Products. I like the face sunscreen because it has a tint to it so it covers my Lupus rash and I feel like I have a little coverage as if I had my foundation on. Neutrogena is my other go to if I run out or cannot find it at the store.

Neutrogena Dry-Touch because I cannot stand being sticky!!! Cera-Ve was OK but it left me looking like I'd been dusted with flour. I don't do tinted because it ends up on my shirt sleeves and collar.
I have invested in several floppy sun hats and some uv protected garments.

I apply sunscreen lotion all over and then reapply on my face sunblock stick by "Sun Bum" mineral all zinc oxide with no other chemicals. Works wonders! I teach tennis so I reapply every hour or hour in a half on my face. The rest of my body is totally covered. Good luck everyone hope this helps. Thanks to all of you for sharing more info. Sharing is caring. Hugs🤗
