Thanks for that Courtney, They have now done the crinthia test which was negative but I still have a high dSDNA so not sure what to make of it. Waiting to go to consultant in the next few weeks to hopefully get some answers.

@A MyLupusTeam Member, How are your kidney function tests looking? I know all these tests and results can be so ridiculously confusing.
Praying that you get the answers that you need and get to feeling better. much love

From what I have researched, the dsDNA test is kind of like a subtype off of the ANA. If you have a positive ANA it can be the result of many illnesses, not just lupus...but when you also have high dsDNA levels , it is usually a confirmation that it is lupus.. Not all lupus patients test ositive for this, but those who do, tend to have more kidney complications. Keep an eye on it.. I also know that there is a more sensitive test for dsDNA test and it is called the dsDNA crithidia test, or something like that. If anyone reads this and finds that I have been misinformed , please let me and the person who posted this question know. Be blessed and Much love!
