Turmeric supplements. When you are flaring you can make a hot tea using turmeric, raw honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and almond milk or coconut milk with a dash of cayenne. Myself I use skim milk the other milk is just to thick for me.

I take tumeric capsules as well. The benefits of tumeric are so powerful for us.

Tumeric? I got off predisone with Limbrel and now I am using tuneric to get off Limbrel. Some are now saying limbrel doesn't really help. That's for inflammation but don't know what the predisone is for with you? She should have alternativea, hopefully.

I wish I knew! Maybe some kind of immunosuppressant? Right now I take plaquenil and prednisone and we are going to try weaning me with an experimental drug. Good luck with the doctor!!

I recently discovered turmeric/curcumin capsules. It does seem to help the inflammation. True the prednisone may make you feel better but it makes you susceptible to infection. It does slow down the healing process but I think Lupus does that by its self so it's a double whammy! I don't take lupus meds daily anymore because of the side effects and after 20 plus years I think the prednisone has done a lot of damage. Just my personal experience. Hope you find what works for you...hugs
