You can take an anti acid medication that will help
Do not take anti acid medications that have calcium. I did and ended up having a kidney stone. They doctor said our bodies can not process unnatural calcium. I have terrible reflux and now most meds don't work. The only one that still helps is Omerpraole. I know t his sounds crazy but eat and drink acidic food. When your stomach digests it changes the chemical properties and it helps. Limes and pineapple, are good.
I had the same problem. My daughter bought me one of those flip pillows that keeps you in a elevated position while sleeping, it has helped stop reflux. It has also helped with my breathing problems. I would wake up in morning with pain in chest when taking deep breaths, this has also helped eliminate these problems as well. I am now having problems with numbness in my fingertips for the past few weeks, just a constant pain and tingling. Not sure if it is caused from my meds (mycophenolaate 500mg 2 pills twice daily, hydroxychloroquine 200mg 1 pill twice daily and prednisone 40mg 2 pills once daily). Anyone having any of these problems or any suggestions to help? Thanks.
I have bad reflux I am on Zantac and carafate an my reflux is better.
I have used bayers, and some gingerale helps too. Having my upper body slightly elevated while sleeping has also helped me.
