Recently I have been having relentless anxiety attacks, almost debilitating. Its usually at night. Now, its got to the point where I don't even want to come home because I do not like where I live and these episodes are affecting my life! I have a lot of supplements that do help a lot, some more for sleep. I do NOT want anxiety meds for sure! Does anyone else have any recommendations,, experience or natural remedies that work for you? I try the breathing. Prayer is my biggest defense.
Prayer is the greatest defense & security,it’s hard to understand anxiety unless you know it, it’s scary , I hope you feel better soon
Try some meditation. There's lots of apps out there. Just type in meditation for anxiety. Deep breathing is also good. Concentrate on breathing into your belly, not your chest. The deeper the breath, the better. We all seem to be breathing too shallowly. It has helped me immensely. Good luck. Hugs.
A friend of mine started doing yoga and it worked for her. Try lavender essential oil. It has a calming effect. Chamomile tea is great for anxiety as well.
Yoga is extremely helpful for anxiety! I was on zanax for a long time and decided to try yoga per my Drs opinion and it works! It's a great way to relax, get your breathing under control and to learn how to breathe correctly! From the stomach not the chest! Give it a try and let us know id it works for you!
I saw my cardiologist today. He assured me structurally and functionally my heart is great :) I am not a fan of doctors but I like him a whole lot. HE said that he would give me a prescription, I did not have to fill it unless I wanted to. Its for Lexapro. We agreed that going on my vacation and a change of scenery can do the trick in December. We also talked about the Wellbutrin. Since I am on it, the goal is no to one medicine if any for this. So I actually do feel a whole lot better already.
I did some research and am doing more on the effects of all these and CBD oil as a comparison. I do not want to mix too many things either. There is a condition called "serotonin syndrome" that occurs when too many things are affecting brain chemicals. Personally its best in my opinion to have the remedies yes, but the cure is prayer and faith, I began walking and smart working out again and that made a world of difference.
Something else that makes a difference is food and nutrition. Since I added more omega 3, it feels like that also has been helpful. I was not eating as "clean" as I usually do and its detrimental if I eat badly!
