What Can You Do About Swelling In Wrist And Feet If You're On Blood Clotting Meds?
I have a friend who is newly diagnosed with lupus and she can't take any ibuprofen or naproxen. She's on blood clotting medicine. Her wrist and feet are super swollen. I don't know if ice would be good. I don't use ice ever but I don't have thin blood either. I'm not sure what to tell her. Any advice would be great please and thank you
I would have her keep her feet up as much as possible, but should talk to her doctor. gentle hugs and lbessings
Iβve had lupus for 48 yrs only my hands swell my feet use tonbut they put me on a water pill and that helps me ..tell her to ask her Dr about a water pill. She could wear socks that are compressive Cooperfit has some good ones you can order them online.Lupus patients always have issues with hands and feet swelling.Tel her to discuss it with the Dr.my hands get terrible !Youre a great friend for helping her!
Compression socks would help too!
I agree with @A MyLupusTeam Member, she should talk with her doctor. Personally, i use ice when inflimation starts , buy the blood thinner throws another element. Hope all is well with her !
This sounds like a great question for a doctor. She should be really careful and know what meds and supplemts can be taken. Soaking her feet in cold and warm water helps me. also tigerbalm helps me too. Good luck to her πππ»
