Dry Itchy Scalp

Dry Itchy Scalp

My scalp is dry and itchy sometimes my hair hurts is there a shampoo and or conditioner I can use I've tried putting tea tree oil in my shampoo and conditioner when using coconut oil and various other oils on my scalp as a deep treatment just wondering if anyone's experience this the flakes have gotten pretty bad

I rub pure argan oil on my scalp and leave it for a while on the scalp and hair. Doctors don't care about that discomfort.

Yes...I too suffer from dry, flaky scalp. My dermatologist, prescribes a solution called Clobetasol, it also comes in a cream or gel. I find the solution much easier to apply and still maintain "good hair days". I notice that stress will really impact my scalp. Do not use Head and Shoulder or any dandruff shampoo. It will dry yhe scalp the more. Hope this helps!

I use Regis I buy it from the Wal Mart salon. I can usually purchase Shampoo & Conditioner for $30. They are large bottles and last a very long time. I always get comments on how thick and healthy my hair looks, which is hilarious to me because I feel like I'm going bald. I hope it works for you. It seems when my scalp is itchy my whole body is too.

I also get like bumpy scabs on my scalp. It just doesn't surprise me anymore. There are so many side effects to this debilitating disease. I guess I'm trying to stay positive, but some days I have a pity party and then I'm over it for a few months. And I never complain to anyone.... Who could believe all these symptoms. Wish you all the best you can be.

Yes, it could be psoriasis which is another autoimmune condition. My doctor put me on Eucrisa and it cleared it up in two weeks, it also is not a steroid so that another plus.
