Hello I am looking for an advice. For the past year I have felt very sick. It started with back pain out of nowhere And throat infections. I have felt fatigued, shortness of breath among other random symptoms. My ANA tests have been positive twice but I have only been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. A year ago when all the other symptoms started at the same time I started feeling throats pain and stomach palpitations, that's had come and gone but a few days ago the shortness of breath was bad so I… read more
Well no duh you have anxiety! That doesn't dismiss your very valid symptoms and concerns. If anything, a positive test result of any kind should steer a doctor toward further investigation. At least, you would think. It's hard not to do your own research, and unfortunately many symptoms that can be explained by something more benign also will scream 'cancer' on the internet - I learn that firsthand every time I search for new symptoms. I went to the dr a while back when I suspected a stomach ulcer/ was getting painful canker sores in my throat, and H Pylori was one of the first things they tested as a large percentage of stomach ulcers can be caused by the bacteria. All the more reason for an endoscopy! I'm sorry you're going through this. I hope they come to their senses soon so you can have some peace of mind.
I understand my friend. It's hard to focus on anything else, but we need to press on and find and seek out joy wherever we can find it.
@A MyLupusTeam Member thank you so much your words mean a lot! I will admit that it is very hard to stay positive, this year has been none stop of health issues among bills and no answers.
Prayer and meditation will help. Turn it over to your higher power. And start living again. Be kind to yourself.
H. Pylori might also make you fell pressure in your throat, stomach pains and the other symptoms you are having because it can cause bad acid reflux. I've known people that had all kinds of stomach and intestinal symptoms from it but they got better once the infection was gone. You might want to see how you feel with getting treated for the h. Pylori infection first. If you don't feel better, then you might need the endoscopy.
