I take humira injections, cytoxan and now lyrica. I have heard some bad reviews on lyrica. Anyone taking it and whats your thoughts?.
Lyrica has helped me a lot. I sleep better. My mood is more stable. My pain is better. I don’t have any side effects. Good luck 🍀
The lyrica caused swelling and breathing difficulties for me.
I was put on gabapentin which didn’t help my nerve pain so they switched me to Lyrica....it might have worked better but I developed heart arrhythmias and terrible dark thoughts and depression. Benefit was NOT out weighing the risk for me with this drug. Good luck to you...I hope it helps you with little side affects 🙏🏻
I have been on lyrica since my first back surgery 20 years ago. Without it, the nerve pain is dibilitating. The gabapantin did nothing for me (that is the one your insurance co, would rather have you on due to cheaper drug)
I was put on Lyrica when I had shingles, then found it really helped with my fibro. But I could not handle the side effects, my memory was getting worse and would forget how to even say some words, my husband had to take it and he also had the same side effects. So of course I stopped they do want me to try and take it at a lower dosage for the fibro and see if that is any better but I have not tried it yet and don't no if I will really. Brain fog is bad enough with out adding more to it. I was just confused so much not worth it to me. hope this helps now mind you , you might be fine on it. gentle hugs and blessings
