Ive started taking vyvanse to stay awake and focused in school. Ive noticed its help me synificantly but the crash that follows makes me feel absolutely repulsive. I get angry and frustrated, and i cant help but feel its negatively affecting my Lupus. Thoughts?
Yes, those crashes are quite difficult. Still, Vyvanse is a metabolized drug so food intake affects its performance and acids - and too alkaline, as well- can have effects on how strong the crash is or how smooth the experience goes. Noticeably in some individuals - may be worth trying. Also, many people tend to skip meals with stimulants and that also increases the harsher side of things. Exercise releases endorphins that make the body tired so some people exercise before the crash to counter the effects. The downside may be increased heart rate, so it's good to ask a doctor. Many people jog to counter that irritability. I think it's best to speak to the doctor of course. (And some will so downplay complaints.) Although they are both stimulants, dosage calculations are different. Like some doctors don't like going above a certain dose of Adderall, then Vyvanse or a combo of both becomes a more feasible dose.
Her medicine is a stimulant and it makes you agitated. The side effects are Nausea, vomiting, constipation, stomach/abdominal pain, loss of appetite, dry mouth, headache, nervousness, dizziness, trouble sleeping, sweating, weight loss, irritability, and restlessness may occur. I see irritability which will cause her to get angry and frustrated. I remember the when the medicine would wear off that when the crashes happened. Talk to your doctor about your medicine. Try adderall and see if you see a difference. They are the same thing and treats patients with ADHD or ADD. They are both stimulants. They have a lot of the same side effects but the come down is so smoothe. But do talk to your doctor. Sometimes you have to find the right medicine that is best for you.
I guess you are taking that for ADD or ADHD. My daughter and I both have ADHD. My daughter first took Ritalin and what you are experiencing in Vyvanse is the same thing she experienced with Ritalin. We then tried Adderall and we loved that one. No fast come off's and it is a smooth feeling. With you in school I would suggest Adderall. It was first used for weight control then they seen that it helped those with ADD or ADHD. If you weren't in school I would tell you to stay off of them and only take them when you go to school. These are addicting. My daughter got to where she took so many of them at a time that she started hallucinating so bad that I had to called the cops and have her taken to the hospital where they could keep her and help her. When you get older adderall does the opposite and they make you hyper instead of calm. I could not concentrate taking them. I was a lot older like 45 instead of now. It is that medicine doing that to you and it will also dry out everything. Your joints can get worse by continuing to take them. There are a lot of bad things more than good. Here is a site that you can go to and see the difference between Adderall vs. Vyvanses. One of the biggest reasons we started taking Adderall is because of the smooth come off. Don't take either one just to lose weight because when you come off of them you gain some back.

Something that you might want to know is that in school you get longer time to take your test. You can have a room by yourself so you won't get distracted. Here us a site for accommodations for college with those with ADD or ADHD

It is a delicate balance with all these meds, given that bipolar is in the equation, too. I believe strong communication with the doctor is the most important thing, no complaint should be downplayed (by ourselves, either) and even the smallest things should be asked the doctor. We do matter.
yes when I took it my blood pressure was high.
Why Do I Need To Go To A Psychiatrist To Get My Vyvanse For Lupus
