Who Else Has Painful Foot Neuropathy From The Lupus?
What medication do you take? Does the medication stop the foot neuropathy from further damage?
I’ve been given plaquenil, Gabapentin, and Cymbalta. Any info is so much appreciated.
Hi Mama5.
Interestingly enough, I have essential tremor too. I suffer from the Raynaud’s phenomenon too. My entire life, I’ve been a shaker. 🤪 I wonder if we are deficient in amino acids or certain nutrients that causes some of our issues. I found a place that I’m getting all of my amino acids, vitamin, and hormone levels checked. I’d like to supplement where my body is lacking if possible.
Thank you for your input. I appreciate it. Hope your day is beautiful!
Yes, I've had peripheral neuropathy for several years secondary to Lupus. I take 200 mg Gabapentin & it controls my pain.
Some patients may require a higher dose.
FYI: Peripheral Neuropathy can have other etiologies, (causes). Please see a Neurologist to make sure you have the correct diagnosis & if so, it is lupus related & not endocrine, or some other underlying cause.
I take Amitriptyline with Gabapentin. I still have break through pain, going to talk with doctor about it. Lyrica worked great for me, but insurance refuses to buy.
Praying for you
I have peripheral neuropathy in feet, legs, hands and arms. I take 600mg x 3 a day. I am also on plaquenil. Still have the pain, especially behind knees.
I have neuropathy in my feet also and take gabapentin and plaquenil, but it does not seem to help. Let me know if you have any luck. with other meds. I also have Raynauds.
