Hot Flashes??
A MyLupusTeam Member asked a question 💭

Always hot. Like I’ll become really hot my body will feel hot but everyone around me is fine. Or when they feel me they say my body feels normal.

I’m with JanieHatfielf I get out of a cooling shower and I’m sweating profusely. Can’t any doctor out there answer this question. I haven’t had an answer yet about it. It’s embarrassing when I go out and I’m nothing but sweat, my clothes are soaked. There has to be some kind of help for us somewhere, but I must be wishing. 🤣🤣 I would really like an answer Wouldn’t you guys??

@A MyLupusTeam Member talkwith your rheumatologist and gyn. If they think it might be a perimenopausal state, you might ask them if you can try black cohosh, which helps some. I just read a study stating certified acupuncture has also been used for perimenopausal symptoms. For everyone struggling, some of the antidepressants and gabapentin have been successfully used for symptoms also.

My a/c runs 24/7, 365 days per year. We have cold, cold winters here in PA, but I can't even stand to wear winter coat. I don't wear gloves, hat or scarf. I am always hot!! I sweat, out of nowhere, any time, anywhere. My head is like a faucet! My mask is always soaked and hair dripping. Only thing that ever gets cold on me is occasionally my feet when in bed. It's like a horror story. Embarrassing, maddening. Going to try botox, heard it works, but we shall see. If it's a cure, I'll be back to let you know. Have a wet free day my butterfly friends.

I know about the sweating all too well. It becomes undignified to say the least. I was on HRT for many years, which helped, but Dr stopped because of the fear of cancer. Gynae tried the patch but it didn't work. She tried femostin and it caused bleeding. So I'm not taking anything at the moment. Fortunately we heading into autumn, then winter, so I'm hoping I'm going to be OK. Will see what happens in the following seasons
