Has anyone had issues with not feeling hungry? I don’t know if it’s my meds, or the lupus, or just me, but I don’t eat a lot anymore. I’m currently stuffing my face with this buffalo chicken dip I just made, but it’s just so good. Beyond that I have to make sure I’m actually eating, pack snacks for work and make myself just eat them. I can feel nauseous sometimes when I do eat, but I’m not sure it’s making my subconscious decide to just not be hungry. (And no, I’m not pregnant.)
I am nauseous often so it makes me not want to eat, makes choosing something to eat difficult because everything sounds awful lol. Then when i do eat i feel nauseous right after, there's no winning seems like.
Yes, I am having a real problem not feeling hungry and losing weight. Or if I do feel hungry and eat, it makes me feel nauseous. It has been to the point that I have to take zofran at times to even be able to eat. This started last November when I went into this flare. I have lost over 20 pounds so far and it shows no sign of letting up.
Granted, it did not hurt to lose a little and I can stand to lose about 10 more, but the danger lies in there is no reserve for me if there is another Crohns flare. My concern is my sudden loss of muscle mass.
@A MyLupusTeam Member, we don't have a Costco here and Ensure and those types of drinks are too sweet for me and make me feel sick. I used to drink Instant Breakfast, but can't handle the milk (it's in the powder too). Any suggestions?
Anyone?
I am on Plaquenil twice a day , Cymbalta, Lyricia twice a day, Wellbutrin twice a day and this regime seems more tolerable and easier on my stomach . I became very ill on Imuran and had to be hospitalized for a week. I wish you luck and all of you are in my prayers..
It goes in waves for me. Weeks will pass when I am forcing myself to eat to spare my stomach when I take meds. Then for a while it seems like I wake up ravenous. But I have been told that I have gallstones, and I wonder if this is the reason.
Loved to chew gum but it sticks to my dentures 😢
